$3/$6 No Limit Holdem • 5 Players

SB huge fish.
CO reg, 25/18ish, opens 40%, small sample. Reg, but stats are skewed with small sample size + we're on a 9max table.

What's with his small turn bet? Value bet river?

UTG$600100bb
CO$807.65135bb
Hero$600100bb
SB$551.6292bb
BB$803.49134bb

  • Pre-Flop ($9, 5 players) Hero is BTN
1 fold, CO raises to $21, Hero calls $21, SB calls $18, BB calls $15
  • Flop ($84, 4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, CO bets $63, Hero calls $63, SB folds, BB folds
  • Turn ($210, 2 players)
CO bets $96, Hero calls $96
  • River ($402, 2 players)
CO checks, Hero ($420)?

wow thats a tough one...
i think i like a check here.
u are getting value only from AQ and even that hand might deny to call u here. i think there are too much hands out there that beat us to bet here. he definately has smth at least decent on the flop and besides KQ there is no K in his range (which could give us some value), his turnbet is pretty scary and i dont shove 100bbs here with such a narrow option of getting value.

River seems like a clear value bet. The small turn bet is just dumb. It can be a big hand sometimes, but more often than not it's just a blocking semibluff or weak value bet. Your range has plenty of flush draws in it, so just go ahead and bet something small like $270ish.
