Hey man, just my 2 pence on the hand. Preflop - Good call, I think with the pot odds that such a small raise by BU has created, and with the near certainty that the limper will limp-call here, I like this call. Flop - It's a pretty small c-bet, so there's an argument for calling, but at the same time, I don't think a BU raise would usually c-bet into two opponents in this situation, because this flop hits both you, and the limpers ranges pretty hard. I can definitely see Donna Draper making this play with say Ax with the ace of hearts, same with K, so there is an argument for calling as well. However, I think with the limper still in the hand, and no heart, and just no kicker, out of position against two players, I would just be tempted to fold tot his bet really. Turn - It's still possible that the player is

Preflop - Played it well, obviously 3-betting aces is the best option in most situations, and you have position which is a bonus. I'm very surprised that villain flatted a 3-bet out of position, I wouldn't be putting him on QQ, I assume he'd 4-bet that from OOP. I'd put him on a range of 88-JJ and maybe a suited AQ or JT if he was getting loose, seeing as you're both fairly deep. A lot of players feel medium pairs are too strong to fold, but too weak to stack off with. Flop - Looking at the range above, I'd say this is a pretty awful flop for your hand. A lot of hands, pretty much every middle pair he was calling with, have either got you crushed or picked up tons of outs (JJ). However, seeing as he can have a lot of draws (JJ,AQ/JTc,) in his hand, giving a free card isn't ideal. However, seeing as his this flop hit his range so hard, I think checking behind is the best option. You keep the pot small, allowing you to cheaply call a turn bet on bricks, and keeping all the draws in his range. This way, when the turn comes and essentially reduces your hand to nothing, you can just fold. This is just my opinion. I do think it's a very tough spot though, so I don't blame you for playing it the way you did, but that's why we post hands on here right, to get second opinion? Anyway, unlucky, you did actually get your money in pretty good!
