Think pre is a std call. Flop seems good with backdoor draws. Would give up on turn unless we pick up equity. If we choose to bet, it needs to be 9-10BB to create a slightly less than pot sized river jam. Could ship river as played but I prefer checking as all the draws missed and they could easily have KJ.

Pre seems fine, don't mind a flat either otb. Flop check is a must with SB's strong cold calling range. I actually think turn is great to bet. You credibly rep a checked back set or AA/AK that was pot controlling against the SB. As played, I fold river since AQ makes sense for them to have.

Ya I considered that but just thought they would fold Ax too much to an all-in sizing. Which I guess means I should be c/r ai bluffing there with a flush blocker some % of the time.

I iso to 4bb to generate more fold equity from the limper and make it more likely the pot is headsup. Flop seems fine but could make it 5bb and get the same amount of folds imo. I always check this turn, as it strongly connects with their flop check/call range. JQ/J9/Q9/JT/J8s and 9x isn't going anywhere esp with a pair. When they call turn and check a blank river, I think firing the third bullet is best since they'll have a lot of one pair with missed straight draw hands that will often fold. But on this card that pairs top pair on the flop and brings in the bd flush, I think is a clear check.

I think this is a fold pre because of reverse implied odds. It's not necessary to play big pots like this early in tournaments with marginal value when people aren't getting out of line enough. Especially when we still fold on one of the better boards we can get. I think folding turn is good as played, especially with the Qh as you block some of their draws they could barrel. And even without a heart, I think calling turn/potentially calling river is not the best way we could be using our tournament chips to build a stack.

We're getting 30% vs this range TT,AQs-A2s,KdQd,KdJd,QdJd,Qd9d,Jd9d,9d8d,AQo-ATo,KcQd,KdQc,KdQh,KdQs,KhQd,KsQd. And since we have to call 6.5BB to win 27ish, it's obviously a great price. But it all comes down to their river bluff frequency. And if they're actually double barreling with KxQd type stuff. Because if you take out those combos, we drop down to 22%, where it's basically breakeven.

Can't imagine flop being a fold with backdoor wheel and nut flush draw. Def fold turn to a larger amount. Either a sigh call/fold to this size. Depends on how much KQ/KJ/QJ/diamonds you think they'll show up with. And if they'll fire a third barrel or give up if they miss. Lean towards a fold against the population.

I like it more if you're deeper and have closer to a pot sized bet on the river. Also prefer calling because it's terrible when they ship. Think it's better to call flop and not bloat pot OOP by raising, especially when making two pair completes a straight. Seems like once you raise turn, you might as well follow through on the river though, since they could have a pair and missed draw that can find a fold. And you block KJ.

turn probably is a fold since we're not sure which outs are good. but it seems okay to call if we're willing to bluff some rivers when checked to. and it seems like this is an alright one. i suppose we can showdown against qj/8x but at least we'll get a T or 9 to fold a fair amount by betting.

love this line! very credibly rep a lot of Tx. Guess you could bet 50-80% pot so you still have chips if they find a hero, but you make it less likely they look you up by overbetting. they may sigh call two pairs or sets when getting the better price, especially since they are deepstacked.
